Purple Passion is a labor of love and a dream come true for beautician sisters Stacy and Gina Badillo.
Born and raised on Belize’ beautiful island of Caye Caulker, Stacy and Gina dreamed of opening their own beauty studio since they were teenagers. Stacy even recalls the long hours she spent, practicing on her friends as she started out.
It paid off: at the age of 19, she launched her very own business from home, and was joined a year later by her sister, Gina.
In 2004, they opened a brick and mortar salon, creating a veritable oasis in the middle of Caye Caulker.
Today, these savvy, 30-something entrepreneurs run one of the best and most popular beauty spas on the island, with more than 15 years of experience under their belts. Trained at the American School House of Cosmetology in Belmopan, accredited by the Ministry of Education, they later obtained their massage certifications in 2011 from Holistic School of Massage and Spa Therapy in Belize City.
Purple Passion’s services range from blow-outs and highlights to manicures and pedicures, waxing, and ultra-pampering facials and massages. Not to mention, Stacy’s favorite — bridal make up and hair.
Stacy and Gina Badillo have turned Purple Passion into more than just a salon.
